Making the Mismatched Match!
So last night I decided that it was time to do something about my collage of frames behind my bed. I have a mix of silver and black frames (with a few natural frames mixed in that were gifts). The pictures are of friends, family, pets, vacations etc. You name it, its up there. But when i printed them i did it in color (as they were scattered all over my house before i "condensed" into my parental units garage. So last night i dug through old files on my computer for the ones that were taken electronically, scanned the ones that were the old fashioned, develop and print and went to work adjusting brightness, color, contract and finally making them black and white thanks to a wonderful program i have on my laptop. I have to say, it looks fantastic! its amazing how uniform so many different images can look. I didn't take a photo yet but i will. It was a bit time consuming but totally worth it. (and my sister doubted me... lol). So there's a easy way to visually organize your rooms/ homes. and all it took was a photo album for the old color copies, a printer, computer, and a little patience!

So closet cleaning was pretty pointless...
The day after I posted that we were cleaning closets we did in fact clean them. And while it could always go better, it defintely could have gone worse. We made alot of progress deciding what was a keep and what was a toss and what should be out in front for use. However, an hour later a 4,000 lb oak tree fell on the house... pretty much negating any "cleaning" we had done. Since then our house has been a war zone. Contractors, tree guys, electicians, roofers, architects, landscapers, sheet rockers, you name it they are there. but we are FINALLY coming along. The worst part of this is that my beautiful old oak tree (most of it still stands if you can imagine the size of it) must come down! I have been crying alot over it. But the good thing is that i had already undertaken an effort to plant sapplings from the trees accorns, after hearing how oaks are going extinct as the result of righting deer populations need for food. So my efforts make me feel that much better. AND this has been a great opportunity to organize the attic contents!!!!!!!!!! (whats left of them at least).
